Troy is part of what is now called RSU#3 or Regional School Unit #3. Troy Central School is our local Elementary and students graduating from Troy Central go on to Mount View Middle and High Schools in Thorndike.
Why did the name change to RSU? For those of us who do not have children in the district schools, it was a surprise to find out that the name had been changed. In our Troy the changes seem to be pretty minimal. We still have our town elementary school. Mount View is bigger and modern. We plan on asking our school board town representative to keep us up to date on the news .
