TOWN OF TROY
129 ROGERS ROAD
TROY, MAINE 04987
Hope everyone is still doing social distancing and staying busy. At the Selectmen’s meeting on June 3, 2020 we decided not to have a Town Meeting this year. The town will be operating off of last year’s budget. The reasoning behind this decision was for everyone’s safety. The town cannot have a gathering of more than 50 people at the point in time and the fiscal year is almost half way over.
The Troy Town Office will be resuming regular office hours, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday 9:00AM- 4:00PM and Wednesday 1:00PM- 7:00PM, starting June 15, 2020. All transactions will be done through the window on the right side of the building closest to Roger’s Cemetery.
Hamlin Associates (the assessors) will be in town this week. They will be doing outside assessments of properties. These assessments are for tax purposes.
As a reminder Effective June 1, 2020 the town of Troy will be having garbage pickup every Wednesday; all bags will need a sticker. If any residents want to they can bring their own recyclables to UARRC (recycling located in Thorndike) on their own. Fiberight, where our garbage goes in Hamden, does sort through the garbage and whatever can be recycled.
UARRC hours are Tuesday-Friday: 9:00AM-4:00PM, and Saturday 8:00AM-1:00PM.The staff will not be helping to unload vehicles, but they will be available for help directing where items belong.
Thank you and Stay Safe,
Troy Board of Selectmen
