It is official! The UARRC is now accepting textiles for recycling. We are working alongside Apparel Impact to further reduce the amount of material going into our landfills. Apparel Impact is based in New Hampshire and gives usable items to families in need, while recycling what is not reusable. Just like our other recycling products, textiles must be CLEAN, DRY, ODORLESS, and contain NO mold. These items are NOT available for curbside pickup. Please bring these items to us directly any time we’re open for business. Textiles must be separate of any other recycling. We reserve the right to refuse textiles that do not meet these criteria.
Accepted items:
All clothing:
– Men’s, Women’s, children’s clothing
– Vintage clothing
– Coats/ jackets
– Winter gear
– Blankets, comforters, bed sheets, pillow cases (NO pillows)
Accessories:
– Purses, handbags, backpacks
– Ties, scarfs, and hats
– Curtains/ drapes
All Footwear:
– Sneakers
– Dress shoes
– Heels
– Flats
– Sandals/ Flip-flops
– Boots
Not accepted:
– Moldy, wet, and/or otherwise unclean textiles
– Pillows
– Carpeting, rugs
– Window blinds
